Today, we are proud to share the journey of our founder, Mr. Harri Eskelin, a man whose career embodies the spirit of unyielding entrepreneurship and global vision.
From Pharmaceutical Roots to International Trade
Harri’s journey began in the healthcare sector, where he spent eight years working in pharmacies and the pharmaceutical industry. After graduating from the University of Helsinki in 2000 and 2004, he combined his academic background with a keen business instinct.
In 2006, Harri founded a pharmaceutical manufacturing and marketing company. Under his leadership, the company became a powerhouse in the industry, serving pharmacies and healthcare operators across multiple borders. His operations included:
- Manufacturing: Contract manufacturing of proprietary products in both Asia and Europe.
- Import & Representation: Managing Swedish prescription drugs, French cosmetics, German eyeglasses, and Chinese personal protective products.
- Export: Expanding reach into the Nordic countries, Europe, and the USA.
This chapter of his career culminated in the successful sale of his shares when the company reached an annual turnover of 15 million euros.
A Versatile Investor and Ecosystem Builder
Harri is more than just a specialist; he is a versatile entrepreneur with interests spanning numerous industries. He has been involved operationally or as an investor in a wide array of sectors, including:
- Manufacturing: Food and food supplement production.
- Trading & Logistics: Technical trading, beverage importing, and “last mile & first mile” logistics platforms.
- Technology: Energy trading IoT platforms, IT services, and retail technology development.
In 2011, Harri founded the trading platform Suppilog Ltd alongside 15 co-founders. He was instrumental in developing, growing, and financing the business through a series of mergers until 2019.
Today, he remains one of the three main owners and continues to influence the company’s trajectory as a board member. Since 2019, he has also worked alongside the executive management of two Finnish family-owned companies, guiding them through strategic investments.
The Vision Behind GPI
Harri Eskelin can best be described as an unyielding innovator of trading technologies and a global networker. It is this unique combination of skills that led to the birth of GPI in 2024.
The original intention of GPI was to internationalize various digital platforms by leveraging Harri’s extensive circle of friends and a network of companies built over decades. Over the last two years, this vision has matured into a robust global platform ecosystem.
Today, GPI stands as a testament to Harri’s ability to align complex technologies and execute sophisticated Go-To-Market plans in different countries. As we continue to grow, we remain guided by Harri’s commitment to innovation and his belief in the power of global collaboration.
